Rugby victory and dodgy haircuts

Lizzie`s hair salon `Rusty Cutz` is open!! I am about to cut Pete`s buffon barnet (in my Welsh shirt - horay for yesterday`s result!). I don`t understand why he looks so worried, what does it matter that I have never done this before and have no idea what I am doing?
Turned out ok, I am just as surprised as Pete..! We had a video skpe calls halfway through Pete`s appointment from Mum, Dad, Kate, Roger, James, Vanessa, Henry, Eva, Ed, Katie, Georgie and Will  - poor Pete had to face all with only half a head done!

Sunday is a good day to Skype us if you are at a loose end and fancy a chat. Best wishes for now, Lizzie.  x

The beauty that surrounds us

Some of the flowers that are in bloom
MANGOES!!! Apparently they will be ready in a month.
The not so beautiful?  The Deputy Director (Maartin) hard at work trying to grind coffee!

Pancake Day!!!

International Women's Day just so happened to co-incide with Shrove Tuesday this year and so whilst the women were parading (Lizzie to tell on this one), I decided to make pancakes for lunch.  Much to everyone's excitement, I even found some Maple syrup in the house but don't ask when it expired!!

The end result

Local wildlife

Hello, thanks for reading. Just a few photos of the `wildlife` on the base! Apparantly there are leopards in the jungle in the region as my french teacher told me the other day. He said he spotted one recently either 9 metres, 9 km or 900 kms away. When my french improves I will be able to update exactly what he said..........arrrggggg!!!!

The 13 chicks which hatched on St.David`s day! Very cute - unfortunately the hawks circling the area like them very much as well...say no more.
Photographer Pete has been out tracking game and their young!
All very ordered

A sick hawk which couldn`t fly...perhaps it had eaten too much?! The man holding it was asking if we wanted to buy it....after consideration we decided that ownership of one troublesome bird was enough. Yes I am talking about Ollie.

A toad!!

Never have I heard such shrieks on discovery of this beauty in the kitchen cupboard!
